The stars were out in force for the 6th annual Vitale Medal. Fans flocked to Crown Casino to watch their premiership heroes arrive, with some of the superstars of stage and screen... Warren 'Coachy' Burford stepped out with his is-she-or-isn't-she girlfriend, 'Friends' star Jennifer Aniston. The two are yet to publicly comment on the status of their relationship, but they certainly looked like a couple on the red carpet. Rumour has it that during the evening, one Bullets player told 'Coachy' that Aniston was out of his league, to which 'Coachy' replied: "Yeah, but at least she's having a go".
It really was Brent Jones' night. He won the medal, won the heart of "Miss Universe" Jennifer Hawkins, but most importantly...won the best dressed award for that delightful gold jacket.
Human headline Dean Jones was at it again at The Vitales, arriving at the awards with megastar Rihanna. The pair met at a function a few months ago, where their relationship reportedly got off to a shaky start. Unaware of her past abusive relationship with rapper Chris Brown, Jones was overheard telling teammates "I'd hit that!"
Fans were buzzing at the sight of human trainwreck Lindsay Lohan, who accompanied the bad luck story of The Bullets' premiership win, Simon Conti. The pair were the Cinderella story of the evening. Not for winning the Vitale Medal, mind you, but for having to leave at midnight - in order to not violate Lohan's parole.
The true glamour couple of The Bullets, Paris Hilton and Andrew Merryweather simply radiated on the red carpet. The two spent the night hosing down rumours that this would be Merryweather's final Vitale Medal night, after allegedly having already signed with new AFL club, the Gold Coast Suns. Endless love: Take 72. Premiership ruckman Luke Barisic, known to his adoring fans simply as "#32", stepped out with trophy wife #4, Jessica Simpson. The couple looked very much in love when they arrived, but it didn't take the philandering star long to see something else he liked better, receiving the 'death stare' from the singer-actress.
The man who the medal is named after, Dan Vitale, arrives with wife Katie Homes and daughter Suri under the watchful eye of event security staff. |
