What, Coachy Worry?
26/11/2008

The Bullets have slumped to their fourth successive loss this season and remain on the bottom of the BHRFL ladder, but Warren 'Coachy' Burford remains upbeat. And while rumours abound that 'Coachy' may have lost some of the players, lost the support of the board and lost any semblance of a game plan, there are now many who are questioning whether 'Coachy' may have lost it completely, as he remains confident that The Bullets can turn it around.

Speaking at a press conference following the side's heartbreaking 5-point loss to AFLV, 'Coachy' faced a barrage of questions from the throng of media. And although the media constantly raised the issue of The Bullets winless start to the season, 'Coachy' was adamant that The Bullets can bounce back from their sluggish start to the season with a win against the undefeated Wannabees next week.

Burford has a history with the media, and has remained standoff-ish ever since the Burford family rubbish bin was raided several years ago when his coaching career was at the crossroads. It was a different 'Coachy' than we have seen at press conferences in the past. Gone are the days of fist-fights with photographers and expletitive-ridden diatribes aimed at the press. No, it was a much calmer 'Coach'.
