Haze-n't He Been Terrific! Indeed! Hazell Plays 10th Game!
22/11/2007

One of The Bullets' real success stories, Rob Hazell (pictured below), finally reached his tenth game on Tuesday night. We caught up with him after the game to conduct the following interview.

Rob Hazell: A true gentleman of the game.

Q. You debuted for The Bullets at the start of 2006. How did you join the club?

I was coerced by Warren Burford who said "come to the beach with me on Tuesday night!"

Q. What were your first impressions of the game?

I was not very fit, so I hated it.

Q. You suffered quite a serious injury last year that saw you miss the finals campaign. Just how devastated were you?

These things happen. Well, that's what the sports psychologist told me.

Q. With the injury, it's taken you a while to get to 10 games. Was it a relief to finally play in your milestone game?

It was a relief. I was so happy. I even flew Uncle Vinnie down from Dubbo for the game. He loved it.

Q. Many supporters are saying that you are a much-improved player this year since returning from your injury. Is there anything you did differently in the pre-season to improve your game?

It helps when you don't have a keg hanging off your stomach.

Q. There are whispers around the club that players have lost some respect for 'Coachy'. Care to admit or deny that these rumours are true?

Coachy has the full support of the board.

Q. Do you have a favourite moment(s) in your career?

Playing 10 games was a highlight, even though I did not know it was my tenth game until after it was all over.

Word Association:
Coachy: Fiery
Mez: Classical
Dean: Lefty

We thank Rob for his time and look forward to seeing him play with The Bullets for many years to come.
