Bullets
Back From The Dead!
After
all but being written off last week, and with another undermanned (sorry,
under peopled) side, The Bullets beat the odds and defeated 2005 premiers
Pencil It In Again by 7 points in Round 2 action of the SRFL. It was
the sweetest of victories for The Bullets, who had never defeated The
Pencils in their prior two outings. The win takes The Bullets from 9th
to 7th on the ladder, and also seems to have taken the pressure off
Warren 'Coachy' Burford. Last week, it was reported that there was "unrest
among board members" at the club. It seems that there was some
confusion with this story, as we are now led to believe it was, in fact,
"unrest among bored members". We apologise for the misunderstanding
and apologise to the entire Burford family, who have had their lives
turned upside down this week by an overly intrusive media contingent
that camped outside their home. It went as far as Channel 9 reporter
Craig Hutchinson going through the contents of the Burford's rubbish
bin, where he made a shocking discovery and later revealed in an exclusive
report for "Rec Footy Classified" that the Burfords don't
recycle enough. |
